Welcome 2010

Well I figured that the new year would be as good a time as any to write a new post.. since the last time i posted was in October.. lol Much has happened since then. For those of you who do not already know, we are expecting baby number 2 in July sometime around the 5th and are so excited. We found out back in october but were waiting to tell everyone till i started getting fat haha. But im allowed to gain weight now haha no losing weight for me this new year haha. We are so excited for baby number 2 though, cant wait!
Another new thing is that elly is walking. she just started one day and is starting to get fast lol. Shes so cute to watch take little steps as she tenitively steps into toddlerhood. Oh i cant believe how big she is. Shes 10 months old!!! Yikes where has the time gone lol We love her so much more than words can say. I highly reccomend children to those of you who dont have them lol. They are the biggest most wonderful challenge ever but the most worth it.
Today is a big day of memories for me, 2 years ago today I met the man of my dreams. It was at a new years eve party that i didnt want to go to but my best bud chelsea made me. Boy am I glad that I went. Even from the moment we met I knew there was going to be soemthing different about anthony. We just clicked, and still do. I love him so incredibly much and probably dont show or tell him enough. He is the most wonderful husband, provider and father. I couldnt have found a better man. He puts up with all my shortcomings, and I have many. I love him so much.. no matter what you girls say i have the best hubby in the world lol.
Well I'll try to keep more posts up. When we find out what were having i'll be sure to post it. Happy new year everyone!! Loves the Lock-Smiths!

Tinkerbell anyone?

Well hello all bloggers!! Halloween was fun for elly and I but poor anthony had to work. Elly made an adorable monkey and I made a pretty cute tinkerbell, sporting my new haircut. Anthony made 50$ on tips but that was the brightest spot in his night.. oh besides us stopping by his work to show off how cute elly was. Well thats our quick halloween update.

The tale of the tooth...

So to update you on the whole adjustment thing, elly sleeps fantastic now, for the first week it was just 5 hour streches (because she was teething) but she broke 2 teeth and now sleeps from 830-530.. I know!!! Its amazing, shes so much happier and everhthing.. Shes amazing.

Anyways the other day she was crawling around on the floor and anthony was on the couch and she bit his foot.. with those 2 razor sharp teeth.. he wast too happy about it but it was funny to me. Her teeth look so cute in her little mouth :) she now eats grahm crackers, and some times we'll give her a french fry lol. But shes getting so big. She's almost 8 months old and so mobile, I think she'll be walking by thanksgiving... YIKES! haha. She keeps us plenty busy and on our toes. Anthony is doing great in his school and not going crazy at work. lol. I am keeping A's in my classes, despite the lack of drive to do homework lol. Today we got to go to Chelsea and Wes Ward's wedding and it was fabulous!! YAY for chels and wes! Congrats and best wishes!

Chiaropractic Update!

beep beep beep ba beep... This just in!
Elly jane slept from 830-230 then 330-9!! i know, amazing. Ever since her adjustment she has been more content, happier and sleeping better every night. When we went in for her follow up, her scan was almost completely normal, hardly any red. I was amazed. They adjusted what was red and said she should be on the mend and she is. Her balance seems to be better, shes in a better mood, and most importantly she's sleeping better than she ever has. I am so SO greatful that heavenly father finally helped me find an answer to my many many prayers. Sometimes im too stubborn to listen and he knows that, so im so glad he helped me listen.
Elly is such a wonderful joy and blessing in mine and anthony's life. So for any moms who just cant get their kids to sleep and have tried everything else, give the adjustment a try.. and I hope you have the same luck as i did :)

Infant Chiaropractors

So today I took elly to a chiaropractor to get an adjustment, because i cant think of any other reason why she's been grumpy and not sleeping lately. When I took her there they did a scan on her back with this thing that looked like a claw lol. well the chairopractor said he back was pretty tweaked and there was good reasons why she was sore, and that was what was making her colicky. So they gave her an adjustment and immediately she looked sleepy. The chairopractor said to let her sleep and if she got sore just put a warm rag on her back.. she had a nap right before the appointment but promptly fell asleep driving home. then she was happier, and more alert when she woke up, she ate her food without a fuss and went to bed at 830.. so far the chiaropractor has seemed to work. I hope so cause she needs sleep to grow and i wouldnt mind a few extra hours of sleep. We'll see how it pans out tonight and then she has another appointment for a final adjustment tomorrow :) I hope it works, so far im a believer!! Well thats my elly update.

Updates on me and anthony. I got a 100 on my math test the other day. yes im pretty proud of myself. Anthony is doing well in all his classes too and im so proud of him because he works so hard on everything he does :) I am a lucky women. well thats our update :)

FRAZZLED!!

I feel like a horrible mom.. My daughter doesnt sleep very good and last night she was up four times and then at 5am decided to wake up and not go back to sleep.. i kept my cool and tried for an hour to put her to sleep then, without success, then anthony tried for an hour,with no success. So I let anthony come back to bed and i got up with her.. well she wouldnt do anything.. wouldnt take a bottle wouldnt stop screaming. (oh and shes standing up and trying to climb out of her crib.. so I put her in the walker(screaming) and try to lower the crib.. well the crib is retarded and i cant get it to work and im already frustrated so i get a little harsh toned with elly.. Why am I so stupid, she is a beautiful little girl who doesnt know better than to cry when she needs something. I love her so much but I get so frustrated sometimes. I just feel bad because she doesnt know better and I am a horrible ogre. My poor husband must think .. I married a psycho cause i just freaked out. Well anyways, im just a little frazzled.. any of you moms had days like these?

good people in the world

So today I did something kind of stupid. On my way to a friends birthday party I stopped to get gas. Well when I went to put my card into the little slot on the gas thing I dropped my card behind the covering that covers where the gas comes out. .. yah there was a teeny crack and my card fell through and all the way behind.. I am sitting there thinking oh crap! So I get elly out of her carseat and go in and ask the guy working behind the counter if there is anything we can do to get it. He says of course I can come look and see if there is anything I can do, he also said how cute elly was.. He was maybe 20 not an old man. He came out to the pump and unlocked the covering and looked in .. we found it at the very bottom, just past our reach.. So this super nice guy goes inside and finds a hanger and sticks his whole head and arm down in this dirty grimy area just to help me. He wouldnt let me help and was courteous and polite the whole time. Boy was I great ful. Such a nice guy and I owe him big, he wouldnt even let me tip him. So to whoever you are that helped me, I appreciate it and am ever greatful.
It never ceases to amaze me that there are still super nice people. I felt like such an idiot but he was a very nice guy and i am so greatful. I just thought I would like to say thank you to this guy.
Yay for people who are still willing to help strangers, even if they are dumb like me :)

Our first date story.. hahah

So for our first date.. ok let me back up. Anthony was a little intimidated by the fact that as soon as we started seeing eachother that my family wanted to meet him.. (if you know my family you know they arent intimidating there is just alot of them haha) so one sunday right after we started dating i invited him to dinner at my moms( not thinking to meet my parents but just to eat some real food.. but he thought i was doing the meet and greet thing and it almost scared him off hahaha). I just think its funny haha

So for our first date, he was supposed to get off of work at 8 and he was going to come pick me up.. well 830 rolls around and hes not there. So I non-celantly(spelling?) text him asking him whats up.. in my head im thinking what the heck our first date and he isnt here( of course by this time we had been dating for like a week, well the snuggling and holding hands and spending every nigth together part.. when i say we hit it off we did ) well he calls me when he gets off work and asks me where i live. So I explain and he is like.. can you meet me somewhere haha I dont want to have to find your house. So I was like sure lets me at jack in the box. My mom of course was like what!! I wanna meet him.. I said you will mom you will, just not tonight haha. So I leave looking pretty darn cute, or i hope i did cause i spent like an hour getting ready. You know what im talking about girls :) So we meet at jack in the box and he is like ok lets get some milk shakes( now I had just eaten a huge, well normal mitton family dinner, of mashed potatos roast and veggi's..) but I am kind of a big fan of milk shakes so i was like sure a small one, even though I was completely stuffed already. So guess what anthony orders.. a large! So anthony's idea of a first date is not the typical dinner and a movie it is much more awesome. He drove me up barts field and parked in the snow at the new performing arts center(i know parking is wrong on a date ;) haha) anyways so we start playing 20 questions.. or in our case it was like 10. This was we got to ask any question we wanted and it had to be answered truth fully. It was alot of fun and a great date idea. So as we are sitting there starting to ask questions and eating our milk shakes.. im getting super full.. and i say "i dont know if im going to be able to finish this" and anthony says in his sarcastic little tease "if you dont finish it were never going to jack in the box again" ... Now im really REALLY stuffed.. but i choke it down and.. almost throw it up.. the last gulps im starting to gag( when anthony realizes that im almost throwing up he starts to feel bad but is totally impressed and finds me amazing.. hahah ) well as i take those last gulps a ISU cop pulls up behind us and gets out of the car.. walks up to anthony's window and says, " do you know your parked in a road way?" im trying my hardest not to laugh and anthony is thinking " oh crap she probably thinks im a complete idiot " so we tell the cop we didnt know, because we didnt know lol, and the cop asks for liscence and regestration. Unfortunately anthony had recently lost his wallet and not gotten a new liscense yet.. it was really funny. so then the cop tells us where to go park lol.. we thought this was funny cause it was a cop telling a guy and a girl in a car where to "park" . So we find a new spot and finish our game. by this time its probably 12 lol. then we decide its getting late and as we drive back to my car we listen to some of anthonys music which he wrote and plays.. its amazing by the way. Well when we get to my car we both keep talking, prolonging goodbyes.. one because we dont want it to be done and 2 because we hadnt perfected the whole hug goodnight thing.. in other words anthony was too chicken for a while. so as im walking to my car he gets out of his and pulls me into a hug and says"we need to work on this whole.. goodnight thing." and i giggle and say "yah you do, your kind of a chicken" and he laughs and slowly gently kisses me and says "again, and again,and again" well you get the idea, we kiss on first dates.. then he sweetly says thank you i had a great time, drive safe., and we part..

Perfect first date:) can I just say that my husband is officially the most amazing guy ever. He has and is always so sweet and thoughtful. always doing little things like texting me "I love you " randmly during the day. Always telling me how beautiful I am. How lucky he is. I am the luckiest girl alive, and my baby girl has the best daddy in the world. Once while we were engaged and I was back in illinios babysitting my cousins for a week(hardest week ever) he sent me an email saying" life was empty without me, like nothing he could do without me would be as fulfilling as just being with me. "and so much more cute stuff.

This is the man I love and the man I married who is just wonderful. I hope all you other women are as lucky as I. :) well goodnight!

Waiting on my hubby lol

So im up late and bored, I could just go to bed but I have a hard time falling asleep without him home. He is working but thankfully elly is asleep. I tried,for the first time, the let her learn to comfort herself meathod and boy was it hard hearing her scream, I felt like a terrible mother and that she will hate me. Yet, in the morning she will wake up (hopefully not before lol) and be her usual smiling wonderful beautiful self who loves me unconditionally despite my flaws, just like my hubby. Man life is good. I have the love of my life and my beautiful daughter always reminding me of how blessed I am.

Seriously though, how many people can say they are as lucky as me. I hope all of you readers can. Life just cant get better than this. Well maybe i'll clean up the house a bit before bed so goodnight all you fellow bloggers!!

Bronco St. VS Oregon

So I just was watching how enthusiastic my hubby gets while watching the boise state game :)
It never ceases to crack me up. Chelsea and I are watching.. sort of. So far boise is ahead. It looks to be an exciting game lol.
So life in the lock-smith house is pretty much the same. Today elly decided she didnt want to take a nap. So while I was at my mom doing laundry(our laundry machine broke) elly was whining because she didnt want to sleep. I decided to try such a thing of as putting her in a crib and letting her cry herself to sleep.. I am not good at it i discovered. I hate hearing her cry. So I let her cry for 20 min and then picked her up and she still screamed and wheesed.. so sad.. but fell asleep promptly after.. Unfortunately it lasted a mere 30 min lol. For a girl who is so active you would think she would be super tired all the time but she isnt.. Any of you mom bloggers if you have any advice that might help me get her to sleep let me know lol. I seem to have tried everything I know but so far am failing. lol I figure I will figure this whole mom thing out sooner or later lol.
Anthony however is an amazing dad lol so calm and collected and finds humor in everything. How I got so lucky I will never know! ! I love him so much. He works so hard to provide for us. He is my superman. He works 2 jobs and is a full time student for only one more year!! Life is sweet. I have an amazing daughter and an amazing husband.. Few are lucky as me :)

Hey all you bloggers!

This morning i'm exhausted! Elly has not been sleeping good.. SO, were going to try a routine again. It hasnt worked the last 2 times but third times a charm right. And in my crazy frenzy that was my mental breakdown last night that is all I could come up with lol. So for all you other mothers, if you have any advice on routines, give me a holla! lol.

Well life for the lock-smith clan is going well, we are all busy. Anthony is enjoying his classes and tutoring but still hates pizza hut. He is also Mr. Wesley Wards home tutor lol. I like it cause then chels tells me all of her wedding plans haha. Brings me back to my wedding planning days, ok not really I pretty much let my mom and sister in laws plan everything. I tell you it made my wedding alot less stressfull haha.

Elly is busy being a beautiful girl!! She is finally figuring out her crawling rythm and is getting into everything. She is definatly keeping me on my toes. But shes so cute its hard not to love her. Even in my frenzy last night I had to smile because of how cute she is.

I am doing well and assimilating back into the college scene pretty good. I am still not used to having homework to do but its not that bad... yet. The volleyball class is the BOMB!! I hope it gets me into good shape cause man im out of shape.. Plus I gotta get rid of this flab from having a baby.. The hardest flab to get rid of but I am determined. Plus its fun playing anyways :)

Welcome to the blog world

Hello!
After seeing Chelsea and Wesley's new blog I decided I want one. Do I know what to put, well no lol. I'll start by a background on my family!
Anthony and I met on Dec 31 2007. It was new years eve and chelsea made us both go(thanks!! ) We hit it off that night and by the end of the night were holding hands and snuggling. From there things just got better. We started dating and despite thinking we werent falling in love, fell madly in love and were engaged march 26th 2008 and married June 6th 2008. A month after we got married we discovered that we were going to have an addition to the family :) now little elly jane :D.
Well that is the very very short version of our courtship. It was much more fun and crazy stories. Maybe someday i'll write them lol.
As of now, we have been married for a year and 3 months and little elly is 6 months old and the cutest EVER!! Elly keeps us both busy crawling and stuffing everything into her mouth, but oh we love her SO much. Anthony is in his senior year of college and will be graduating in may 2010. I am currently taking a few classes but am no where near done with school. We both love life and love the friends were making and all the experiances were having!!

Well I hope I did this whole blog thing right haha. I hope you guys enjoy it. Peace out
